JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Abington's Business Program invites applications for adjunct instructor appointments in Management Information Systems beginning in August 2026 through December 2026. Continuation beyond this period is a possibility.
The specific course available is:
  • MIS 250 - Introduction to Problem Solving with Spreadsheet Analysis and Information Systems Management. Classes can be held in-person and via Zoom with an asynchronous web session weekly (50% in person/Zoom, 50% asynchronous web).
  • MIS 431 Business Data Management. Classes can be held in-person and via Zoom with an asynchronous web session weekly (50% in person/Zoom, 50% asynchronous web).

Students from other Penn State Campuses may be accessing these courses as well.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Doctoral degree in a business-related discipline, but ABD and Masters level candidates will be considered.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates is highly desirable and relevant professional work experience is valuable.
