Job Title: MIS Specialist 

Department: Management Information System (MIS)


We are looking for a MIS Specialist to join our MIS team at Open Bank! The Management Information System (MIS) Specialist provides end users with information by designing methods to collect and retrieve data; maximizes computer system capabilities by studying technical applications and making recommendations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identifies end user requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual end users and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Provide customer support for system functional, operational, and technical issues.
  • Develop MIS process improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Maintain and support MIS activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems/ issues.
  • Provide technical support to ensure that hardware and software systems are fully functional.
  • Manage security administration activities for systems.
  • Create and generate reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct system training to appropriate staff on a regular basis.
  • Manage system maintenance and security activities. 
  • Train users in new applications and upgrades. 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information or Computer Information or related field or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
  • Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the IT functions.
