Job Description

The Claims Specialist provides program claim review, claim entry assistance to both dealers and field personnel as needed. The Claims Specialist at times may act as a liaison between program headquarters and dealers to resolve discrepancies or conflicting coverage on vehicle repairs.

Job Responsibilities

Program Operations (80%)

Subject matter expert to internal staff, dealers and OEM personnel for claim entry issues and questions

Review dealer submitted claims for accuracy as defined by the specific claim type

Develop and maintain basic program reports

Contact fleet customers via email for claims exceeding a specific dollar value

Chargeback to dealers of unauthorized or incorrect claims

Respond to customer or dealer submitted questions via email or phone regarding rejected claims

Troubleshoot rejected claims

Technical (20%)

Evaluate claims to determine if Basic Manufacturer's Warranty, Extended Plan Coverage or other OEM program coverage may apply

Assist in documentation of claim entry procedures, processes and reference material

Qualifications

Prior OEM claim entry experience is preferred, but not required

Prior warranty coverage review experience is preferred, but not required

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent Follow-up
