Technician Trainee at Bluebonnet Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Entry Level

Kahlig Auto Group's Bluebonnet Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has an amazing opportunity for someone who wants a career in the automotive industry with a family owned local dealer group. If you do repairs or maintenance or have aptitude to do so; have worked at a quick lube or independent shop, this is a rare opportunity for you to become a factory trained technician. Additionally, for the right individual, certification testing and tools will be provided as you Earn while you Learn a lifelong career.

Job Purpose

  • Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly.
  • Follow a checklist in ensuring that each critical part of vehicle is inspected such as hoses, belts, fuel systems, tires, brakes and other possible troublesome items.
  • Using hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers to work on small-scale parts and when needed, power tools like pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts easily and quickly.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of automobiles and light duty trucks
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Good reading, basic math skills, and computer literate
  • Ability to learn new technology, service and repair procedures and understanding specifications
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment is a plus

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least a High School diploma/GED
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid drivers license
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
