POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cost Analyst Associate position performs variance analysis between actual and standard costs to assist the Cost Analyst and management team in decision making or other financial initiatives. The Cost Analyst will analyze and report on inventory valuation, production, and various other costs. This exempt position and will spend about 50% or more of their shift in the production facility. Must be able to be on your feet 6-8 hours per day and lift/push/pull 50+lbs as needed. An Excel wizard is needed for this role.

SOME ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain book to physical adjustments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate input of bill of materials and price code changes.
  • Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly.
  • Complete pricing analysis for new models and options.
  • Assist in the completion of special projects.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/:

  • Preferred two- or four-year degree in accounting or finance.
  • Prior cost analyst experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with BOM preferred.
  • Labor or management experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus!
  • Must have great communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) desired.
  • Great attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Motivated and self-starter; willing to learn, hard-working, determined and assertive.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems a plus

This position has a base salary of $66,560 and is eligible for the facility bonus program.
