Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $32-$35/hour

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for inventory management and process improvement? We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to support a growing organization in Chicago. This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on analyzing inventory trends, optimizing stock levels, and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Investigate inventory variances and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and turnover.
  • Partner with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to support inventory planning.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and root cause analysis.
  • Support demand planning and forecasting initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within ERP systems.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory control and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of inventory analysis, inventory control, supply chain, or operations experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with inventory forecasting and demand planning.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, retail, or consumer goods experience.
  • Experience supporting inventory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
