Job Title: Inventory Analyst
Location: Cary, NC
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite - 1 remote)
Pay Rate: $33.50/hr
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to support inventory accuracy and reconciliation efforts across multiple sites and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This role will be responsible for investigating inventory discrepancies, performing data analysis, maintaining reporting, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory records within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate inventory reconciliation discrepancies using D365, 3PL transaction reports, and supporting documentation to identify and document root causes.
* Perform cycle count reconciliation investigations and resolve inventory variances.
* Execute inventory adjustments, batch flips, and other inventory transactions within D365 to maintain accurate inventory records.
* Collaborate with manufacturing representatives, planners, warehouse personnel, and contract manufacturing partners to resolve inventory discrepancies.
* Cleanse and validate 3PL count sheet data for use in inventory reconciliation tools and reporting.
* Create and maintain monthly inventory reconciliation files for analysis and reporting purposes.
* Analyze inventory data and provide weekly status updates on reconciliation activities.
* Develop ad hoc reports, perform data analysis, and distribute findings to key stakeholders as needed.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.
* Support inventory management and continuous improvement projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 6 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of inventory control, reconciliation processes, and inventory accuracy management.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, formulas, and analysis of large data sets.
* Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an investigative mindset.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment while meeting deadlines.
* High attention to detail, strong integrity, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
