Job Title – Inventory Specialist

Location – 6540 Franz Warner Pkwy, Whitsett, NC 27377

Contract – 12 months contract (possibility to go perm)

Pay Rate – $25 USD hourly on W2

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 2nd Shift, 3:30 PM – 12 midnight

 

Job Description:

Reports To: Logistics Manager

 

Position Summary:

  • Seeking an entry-level Inventory Control Analyst to support daily inventory accuracy, cycle counting, material research, and warehouse inventory processes within a fast-paced, large-scale logistics environment. This hourly role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a high-volume operation where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are critical.
  • The Inventory Control Analyst will assist with maintaining accurate inventory records, researching inventory discrepancies, supporting warehouse operations, and helping ensure material is properly accounted for throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to support inventory accuracy.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including quantity mismatches, missing material, incorrect locations, and system-related issues.
  • Review inventory transactions and assist with correcting inventory errors.
  • Support material movement, location accuracy, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Work closely with Logistics, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, planning, and production teams.
  • Assist with tracking inventory adjustments, shortages, overages, and aged material.
  • Generate and review basic inventory reports.
  • Identify potential root causes of inventory issues and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory activity, corrections, and follow-up actions.
  • Follow all Lenovo safety policies, company procedures, and inventory control processes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy and process control.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No college degree required.
  • Experience in a warehouse, inventory, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, large-scale inventory control environment.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Must be dependable, organized, and able to follow established processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, logistics, warehouse operations, or material handling.
  • Experience using WMS, ERP, or inventory tracking systems.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to research inventory issues and follow through until resolved.
  • Comfortable working with part numbers, locations, quantities, and transaction history.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse/logistics environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to work safely around warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime or alternate schedules based on business needs.
