Job Description:

This entry level Financial Analyst position requires 0-2+ years of industry or public accounting experience in accounting, audit, financial modeling, and analysis. The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring the cost of goods sold, inventory, and other balance sheet and income statement items are timely reported and accurately presented, ad hoc data and financial analysis, and critical accounting estimates. You will be integral to process improvements as the organization grows. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, clear communication skills, urgency for achieving results, and be able to multitask under minimal supervision. Experience with manufacturing/semiconductor accounting and transactions is a significant plus for candidacy.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Assist in general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis for product cost of goods sold, inventory, and other balance sheet and income statement items

  • Assist with data and financial modeling, research, and account analysis

  • Month-end/quarter-end closing activities, including internal and external financial reporting processes

  • Assist manufacturing departments with research, analysis, and articulation of variance drivers against monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting/actuals

  • Assist external auditors quarterly and annually on product cost and inventory activities

  • Assist in physical inventory counts as needed; travel will be involved

  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, engineering, and procurement to evaluate cost impacts and improve financial visibility

  • Support standard cost updates by validating key inputs (BOMs, Routes, labor & overhead)

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have 0-2+ years of experience in accounting, audit, data analysis, and financial modeling

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required

  • Experience in analyzing product revenue and/or cost forecasts and actuals is required

  • Must possess the ability to work well with others under tight deadlines

  • Needs to have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Should be detail-oriented, and highly organized with excellent time management skills

  • Candidates should be able to focus on multiple tasks, as distractions/interruptions are common

  • Must be able to prioritize responsibilities in order to meet deadlines and manager expectations

  • Should be prepared to work long hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing periods as needed

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access, and/or other database tools

  • Must possess strong analytical skills including data migration, reporting, and KPIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of VBA, Power Query and/or SQL coding

  • Experience in cost modeling or willingness to learn

  • Background in manufacturing or semiconductor accounting is preferred.

  • Master's degree in accounting or finance in preferred.
