Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure the safety of team members. Accurately and safely deliver tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Assist in Shipping and receiving. Assist in receiving and managing deliveries. Maintain tools and equipment. Assist in keeping warehouses clean and organized.

Ensure Safety of Team Members and Customers.

  • Make safety a priority in work-related decisions.
  • Identify/address safety violations in prefab and on site. Use it as a teaching tool.
  • Identify and address hazardous conditions. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse/yard.
  • Work with shop manager to Implement Department Specific Safety Meeting Agendas.

Accurately deliver tools, equipment, and prefab kits and material to job sites.

  • Verify order and destination/timeline with shop manager.
  • Accurate staging and mobilization of deliveries.
  • Accurately, safely and in a timely manner deliver, unload, and verify with foreman or inventory personnel on project, complete with signature.
  • Secure load for transport.
  • Vehicle and trailer pre- start inspection.

Clean and maintain tools equipment.

  • Inventory gang boxes coming in and going out for tool tracking.
  • Inspect all tools, ladders, and equipment prior to loading and upon return to yard.
  • Maintain Trailers, trucks, gators etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness and servicing of all equipment coming into yard i.e., fluids checked and lubricated.
  • Report any discrepancies to shop manager.

Assist Shop Foreman

  • In any tasks that is assigned to team.

OTHER TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist office staff as needed
  • Assist in duties of building maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for vehicle insurance coverage
  • Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record for last 3 years
  • Must have good command of the English language - verbal and written
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Team player with good customer and people skills
  • Ability to navigate city and state routes
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools proficiently.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent require
  • Experience pulling up to 20' trailers with heavy loads (1 year+ preferred)
  • Operate Forklift (preferred)
  • Entry level welding

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach over head all for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work both indoors and out at all times of the year
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 51 pounds unassisted
