Position Description: WHERE PRECISION MEETS COMPLIANCEThis is not an entry-level role.We are seeking an experienced Inventory Lead with a proven background in highly regulated inventory environments to oversee and maintain inventory integrity within our cannabis retail operation. This role is designed for someone who not only understands compliance-heavy inventory, but can lead inventory operations, set standards, and hold systems and people accountable.If you have managed controlled, audited, or high-value inventory—and understand that accuracy, documentation, and compliance are non-negotiable—we want to hear from you.What You’ll DoAs the Inventory Lead, you will own the accuracy, organization, and compliance of all inventory systems. You will work closely with store leadership, sales, and fulfillment teams to ensure inventory flow is controlled, auditable, and compliant with Michigan cannabis regulations.Lead and maintain accurate, real-time inventory across all cannabis product categoriesOversee daily, weekly, and cycle counts to ensure physical inventory aligns with digital systemsManage product intake, verification, labeling, storage, and organizationMonitor product movement and investigate and resolve discrepancies immediatelyEnsure strict adherence to METRC requirements and internal SOPsTrain and support staff on proper inventory handling and compliance proceduresCoordinate restocking and inventory flow with sales and fulfillment teamsPrepare inventory for transfers, reconciliations, audits, and compliance reviewsCommunicate shortages, variances, and risk areas to management proactivelyMaintain clean, organized, and audit-ready inventory areas at all timesRequired Experience & QualificationsRequired2+ years of inventory management experience in a regulated environmentExperience overseeing controlled, high-value, or audited inventoryStrong understanding of inventory audits, reconciliation, and documentationProven ability to maintain accuracy under pressure and tight timelinesComfortable working in a high-volume retail environmentMust be 21+ and able to pass required background checksStrongly PreferredCannabis retail or cultivation inventory experienceHands-on experience with METRC or other seed-to-sale systemsBackground in cannabis operations, pharmaceuticals, medical inventory, fine jewelry, luxury goods, or alcohol distributionFamiliarity with POS and inventory management softwareSkills That Matter HereExceptional attention to detail — errors are costly in this roleStrong organizational and time-management skillsClear, professional written and verbal communicationAbility to follow SOPs precisely while adapting to daily operational demandsLeadership mindset with a high level of ownership and accountabilityCalm, solutions-oriented approach in fast-paced environmentsWhat This Role Is NotNot an entry-level positionNot a budtender or customer-only roleNot suitable for candidates without inventory or compliance experienceNot a casual or “learn as you go” positionThis role requires experience, leadership, precision, and ownership.What We OfferHealth, dental, and vision insuranceEmployee discountsConsistent full-time schedule (30–40 hours per week)Growth opportunities within a leading Michigan cannabis companyA professional, accountable team environment that values accuracy and compliance
