Job Overview: Inside Sales Representative


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to break into the world of sales, especially in the fast-growing field of K–12 educational technology.


In this role, you will support outside sales efforts, communicate directly with schools and vendors, respond to requests for quotes and proposals, and help drive the sales process from behind the scenes. We’ll provide the training — you bring the drive to learn and succeed.




Responsibilities

  • Assist with quoting, proposals, and customer follow-ups
  • Respond to RFPs/bids and ensure all required information is submitted correctly
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support outside sales reps with documentation, product research, and scheduling
  • Use CRM tools (such as NetSuite) to track activity and manage opportunities
  • Stay organized and detail-focused in fast-paced environments
  • Participate in training, coaching, and learning sessions to grow your sales skillset
  • Learn Virtucom’s product and service offerings to better support customer needs
Requirements:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (any field)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., NetSuite, HubSpot) is a plus, but not required
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and willing to be coached
