About the job you're considering

Capgemini is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Scan Technician to join our 3D Capture Team. This is a full-time, entry-level, on-site role based in our studio/local facilities. You will work with cutting-edge LiDAR, photogrammetry, structured light systems to capture props and costumes with exceptional accuracy.

This is an entry-level, high-accountability role ideal for someone who loves solving technical hardware challenges and cares about the precision of digital data. You don't need to be an expert in 3D modeling; we are looking for someone who can follow technical instructions precisely, handle equipment with care, and ensure data is organized correctly. You'll collaborate closely with the Capture Lead and post-production teams to ensure captured data is clean, well-organized, and ready for downstream processing.

Your role

  • Support daily 3D scanning operations for props and small objects using photogrammetry rigs and LiDAR systems.
  • Execute basic capture setup, including object placement, lighting adjustments, and equipment positioning following defined SOPs.
  • Assist with assembly and teardown of scanning rigs, ensuring efficient studio operations and readiness across shifts.
  • Perform file handling and data organization, adhering to naming conventions and folder structures to support production pipelines.
  • Conduct basic validation checks to ensure capture completeness and accurate data transfer.
  • Maintain workspace organization and equipment care, ensuring safe handling and storage of scanning gear.
  • Collaborate with Capture Leads and cross-functional teams, providing updates and incorporating feedback to improve capture efficiency.

Your skills and experience

  • Strong technical aptitude with familiarity or interest in hardware systems, cameras, or scanning technologies.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and execute repetitive workflows with high accuracy.
  • High level of attention to detail, particularly in alignment, data quality, and file management.
  • Basic understanding of file systems and data organization (Windows/Mac environments).
  • Strong reliability and accountability in meeting daily production targets and schedules.
  • Physical ability to handle equipment and move objects safely within a studio or warehouse environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within emerging fields such as 3D capture, virtual production, and digital asset creation.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $29,973 - $69,014/Year.
