Job Description

Position Summary

The Temporary Part-Time Compensation Analyst will support the administration of the Sales Incentive Bonus Plan (SIBP) by performing monthly incentive calculations, validating performance data, and coordinating the approval and payment process. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to interpret sales performance data to ensure accurate incentive payouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly administration of the Sales Incentive Bonus Plan (SIBP).
  • Review monthly sales performance results provided by the Sales organization.
  • Analyze and validate performance data, identifying discrepancies and following up with stakeholders to resolve questions or missing information.
  • Apply established calculation methodologies and Excel formulas to determine accurate incentive payouts.
  • Perform prorated incentive calculations for new hires, employee transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  • Reconcile calculated incentive payments against reported performance results to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare payout summaries and supporting documentation for management review.
  • Initiate approval workflows (eSign) and ensure all required approvals are obtained.
  • Submit payroll tickets and supporting documentation to Payroll for timely payment processing.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation supporting all calculations and approvals.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve or automate calculation processes and reporting.
  • Provide support to employees and managers by explaining how reported performance translates into incentive payouts.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other compensation administration tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Experience working with Excel-based calculations, financial data, payroll, compensation, accounting, sales operations, or similar analytical work.
  • Experience processing data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience working with confidential information preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • INDEX/MATCH
    • IF formulas
    • SUMIFS
    • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand calculation methodologies and apply established business rules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions when data appears inconsistent.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
