The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a full time and highly motivated individual for theEntry Level Help Desk Support I. This individual will provide support in both Madison and Cortland Counties.**Onsite Position Only**


Summary: The Help Desk Support I will provide 1st to 2nd tier technical support to the end-users in the organization and works with their supervisors to complete and follow through with tasks relating to project executables, as needed. Reports directly to the Information Technology Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates work projects such as new computer hardware setup or software installations.
  • Provides technical support-identifying, investigating, and resolving users' problems with computer software and hardware.
  • Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
  • Collaborates with other employees to research and resolve problems.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree in information technology or related study preferred; Associate's degree in IT related field of study OR Entry level IT Certification with 1+ years of minimum. Must be able to use personal vehicle for regular travel between Madison and Cortland counties. Valid NYS Driver's License required.
