Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Document Custodian Reviewer opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months

Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Custodian Reviewer to join our team. This entry-level position involves reviewing documents from institutional clients, identifying exceptions, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete basic data matching of documents based on agency guidelines or custodial agreements for non-agency documents.
  • Match data in the Document Custody tracking system to original documents and update the system accordingly.
  • Determine whether a document is an original or a copy, updating the tracking system as needed.
  • Follow established procedures and review criteria.
  • Document and report exceptions found during the review process.
  • Adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
  • Identify and escalate any risk-related issues to management.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, addressing audit points and regulatory issues as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Review and match documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records in the tracking system.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associate's degree, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years of higher education and/or work experience.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and email software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good alpha/numeric skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Ability to work under time constraints while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 30 - 50 pounds.
  • Able to climb on a ladder and/or stool and bend for filing.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
