Love & Loyalty Home Care is growing our developmental disability services program, and we are looking for someone who wants to do more than simply supervise. We want a leader, coach, advocate, and team builder who is ready to make a real difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will be an important part of making sure our services are safe, meaningful, person-centered, and actually making a difference.
Your day may include:
• Coaching and supporting our Direct Support Professionals.
• Helping staff become more confident and successful in their roles.
• Reviewing Individualized Service Plans and service documentation.
• Checking that individual goals are being supported and followed.
• Supporting assessments and service planning.
• Identifying training and support needs.
• Working with individuals, families, support coordinators, schools, and healthcare professionals.
• Visiting service locations and seeing services in action.
• Helping solve problems when challenges come up.
• Supporting quality improvement and better ways of doing things.
• Making sure the people we serve are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.
What Do You Bring?
We are looking for someone with:
• A bachelor's degree in a human-services field, such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education, Rehabilitation, Sociology, Nursing, or a related field.
• At least one year of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of developmental disability services and person-centered care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Confidence in coaching and supporting staff.
• Good documentation and follow-through skills.
• A collaborative and respectful approach.
• Ability to travel to service locations when needed.
• Qualifications that meet Virginia requirements for developmental-services supervision and Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional responsibilities, including applicable credentials and required Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services training.
