Job description

Title: Entry Level Gardener

Location: Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania

Reports To: Director of Cultivation, Pennsylvania

Pay/Salary: $17.85 Per Hour

Job Description

Terrapin is looking for an Entry Level Gardener to join our growing company. As a Boulder, Colo.-based national cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator, processor and provider of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. Over 10 years of operations, Terrapin has grown into a multi-state company with nearly 200 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for an Entry Level Gardener has grown significantly.

The Entry Level Gardener plays an important role in the maintenance and upkeep of a safe, clean, and compliant grow facility. It requires organizational skills, reliability, initiative, heightened productivity, and a strong affinity toward cleanliness. It is a necessity to understand the laws that govern operations in a cultivation facility as to ensure Terrapin Care Station maintains safe and compliant practices at all times. The Entry Level Gardener will report to either the Head Grower or the Assistant Head Grower for daily assignments and directives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have a basic knowledge of all laws governing garden operations and maintain compliance in all actions surrounding daily activities.
  • Keep the garden floors, shelves, tables, walls, and all work areas clean and sanitized at all times
  • Have a general knowledge of daily garden operations in order to fulfill tasks that have been assigned
  • Scrub and Clean grow tables after every harvest event
  • Wash pots thoroughly after every transplant event
  • Understand Pesticide and Fertilizer safe handling and application
  • Report any items that may be needed to the grow manager so they can be purchased in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current State Mandated Badge or Background Check.
  • Must be willing to undergo Worker Protection Standards training regarding pesticide use and best practices
  • Must possess a willingness to learn and maintain job flexibility at all times as duties may change
  • Must be a good listener who can follow directions carefully and respond to the requests of the management team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds safely.
