Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $16.90 per hour.

 Up to 20 hours Monday - Friday 8:00am -5:00pm; Occasional Weekends 

Job Summary

Provide clerical support to the Faculty Internship Coordinator for the
Department of Communications, supporting academic internships for students majoring
in Communications, Cinema & Television Arts, and Human Communication Studies.

Assist faculty internship coordinator with a variety of projects and duties; Gain a firm understanding of internship program requirements and policies in order to answer student questions or refer them appropriately; Answer incoming calls and respond to emails in the general mailbox; Develop flyers and marketing materials; Assist with the Creation content for social media; Assist in recording and tracking internship data using Canvas and Google spreadsheets; Assist with track attendance and assist with Zoom internship orientation sessions; Assist with verify completion of prerequisites

Assist students who have difficulty identifying and securing internships; Occasional typing, proofing, and copying of forms and other documents; Must demonstrate precise attention to detail in processing data; Opportunity to collaborate on additional projects; Other clerical duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications  Experience and/or interest in teaching/advising; Experience with graphic design and/or ability to create professional-quality flyers and graphics.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
  • Google Drive proficiency
