About Crystal Bridges & The Momentary
Crystal Bridges is a museum of American art located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We explore the unfolding story of America by actively collecting, exhibiting, interpreting, and preserving outstanding works that illuminate the American heritage and artistic possibilities. Founded by Alice Walton in 2005, the museum opened in 2011 and is a public, non-profit charitable organization with free admission.
The Momentary is a contemporary art space that opened to the public on February 22, 2020, in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. The Momentary is a venue for the music, art, and food of our time, and a catalyst for creativity and economic vitality. Position Summary
The Internship Program & Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Crystal Bridges & Momentary internship program. This position is responsible for volunteer outreach, engagement and management of the CB/MO supported programs and events.
The Internship Program & Engagement Manager recruits and engages industry partners and coordinates student preparation and program delivery activities year-round with multiple stakeholders including industry, community, students, educators and CB/MO staff. The program manager reports directly to the Director of People Services.
This position requires an imaginative, resourceful, and collaborative professional who can take initiative and work alongside department leaders to help build, launch, and oversee Crystal Bridges and the Momentary internship program.
Core strengths include the ability to focus on building relationships within the institution and the community to assist in the overall coordination of experiential learning services and opportunities adhering to the organization mission and values of authentic engagement, building community, equitable practices that promote race equity, diversity and inclusion, and strengths-based practice.

Principal Responsibilities
Community Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals, industries, organizations, colleges and other community organizations with the primary goal of internship placement
- Partner with the field experts / department leadership to develop relevant internship framework and curriculum
- Works with department leaders and community partners to provide a welcoming and engaging internship experience for each intern to ensure a positive experience
- Evaluate industry and community satisfaction with internship program
- Effectively handle diverse interpersonal and inter-group relationships
- Actively participate in industry and community organizations
Internship Program Delivery
- Partner directly with the local schools, colleges & universities to manage and execute all aspects of the internship program
- Organize and implement intern orientations, workshops & culminations.
- Maintain frequent and effective communication with interns and department leaders.
- Develop a framework and timeline to build and launch the program.
- Manage the planning and implementing strategic goals & operating plans for continued growth
- Oversee daily activities and responsibilities for the intern programs.
- Develop and conduct training for participating supervisors.
Program Administration
- Ensure internship program complies with all rules and procedures required by law, as well as meets organizational compliance requirements.
- Oversee and manage intern timekeeping in Workday.
- Keep detailed records and reports on the results of the intern program.
- Collect and analyze internship data for internal and external use.
- Deliver accurate and timely data and reports
- Prepare reports / presentation on the contributions of each internship cohort
- Communicate pertinent information to all stakeholders in a timely fashion by email, telephone and in person.
Planning, Design and Budgets
- Responsible for overall program plan, design, delivery and evaluation
- Develop and implement program improvements.
- Accountable for overall plan success including evaluation and budget process.
Professionalism & Ethics
- Must conduct oneself in a highly professional manner, and in alignment with CB/MO values.
- Work in collaboration with team members within department and across the organization
- Support overall CB/MO objectives and goals as outlined in Strategic Plan

Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training, and Traits
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities.
- 5 - 7 years of experience with internship programs in an arts-related institution is highly desirable
- 5 - 7 years of experience coordinating, developing and implementing a program or initiative (ideally related to internships, job preparedness or mentoring of high school, university and/or technical school students)
- A strong desire for supporting and empowering interns
- Ability to understand and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
- Able to quickly build rapport and foster relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment, collaborating across all departments.
- Able to interact seamlessly with all levels of the organization from volunteers to executives, including the Board of Directors
- Ability to work under pressure, meet competing deadlines and positively adapt to change
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, both independently and as part of a team.

- Work Environment: Work will be performed in an office environment and in museum spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Some overnight travel may be necessary. This position is based onsite in Bentonville, AR.
