Shift / Days /Schedule:

(Part Time - 24 hours per week)

(7pm - 7am on Sat and Sun nights Only)

Job Description

Our client is looking for an entry level IT talent to work as a RPG Analyst to assist in the monitoring of the mid range platform on 3rd shift, from 7pm-7am. The days specifically are Saturday night-Sunday morning, Sunday night-Monday morning. Candidate will be responsible for monitoring the RPG environment on this shift and be responsible for escalating issues to the appropriate teams. This role also requires someone willing to help cover other 12 hour shifts when needed for 2nd & 3rd shift. It is important that they can cover for other team members when unique situations arise.

- Responsibilities include: answering console messages, escalate issues accordingly, and run reports as needed on the data in the system.

- Set up and maintain hardware & related software as needed

- Attention to detail on monitoring the systems and responding quickly

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Maintains knowledge of specific requirements for AS400 jobs

- Monitors AS400 systems to respond to any problems and escalate as needed

- Identify, organize, and distribute all output media produced on an assigned shift

- Maintain shift logs for incidents

- Take a call from a plant user on occasion to support

- Communication skills to interact with coworkers and supervisor and to understand and respond to requests or instructions. Basic courtesy and customer service skills.
