The Deli Team plays an essential role by preparing, assembling, packaging and quality checking products. By prioritizing consistency, food safety, and teamwork, you help ensure our bakery continues operating at the highest level and our guests receive products that surpass the ordinary.

Position Details:

This position is for an entry-level bakery production employee with little or no bakery or culinary experience. Team members are trained across a variety of bakery production stations including mixing, production, oven, packaging, and quality control support.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Follows Woods Coffee operational, food safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Prepares readytoeat food by scooping, slicing, cutting, assembling, wrapping, packaging, and labeling products.
  • Prepares sandwiches, burritos, deli items, bakery products, and ingredients according to company recipes and standards.
  • Properly prepares and handles glutenfree products to prevent cross contamination.
  • Uses and maintains deli equipment, including slicers and packaging tools, safely and correctly.
  • Prepares ingredients and products for baking by scooping batters, doughs, toppings, and fillings according to production standards.
  • Packages and prepares finished products accurately and efficiently for delivery to stores.
  • Fulfills bakery and deli orders while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Performs quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards for appearance, size, weight, freshness, and doneness.
  • Communicates product quality or production concerns with leads and managers.
  • Maintains ingredient and product pars and communicates inventory needs.
  • Rotates and stocks products and ingredients according to FIFO standards.
  • Organizes and maintains warehouse, refrigerator, and freezer storage areas.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all prep, production, storage, and packaging areas.
  • Assists in a variety of bakery and deli production stations as needed.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Schedule: This is a part time position. Ideally 2-3 days per week + 1 on call shift. Must have full weekend availability. Start time is 5:30AM.

    Location: This position is in person at our Commissary Bakery in Kent.

    Compensation: $17.13-19.25 per hour based on experience.

  • Essential Job Functions:
  • Repeated heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50lb above head.
  • Constant standing, walking, stooping, bending, and squatting.
  • Frequently using hands, wrists, and arms in repetitive motions.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving products throughout the warehouse.
  • Working in refrigerated and freezer environments as needed.
  • Regular in person attendance.
  • Requirements:
  • Food Handlers permit obtained through the local health department.
  • Age Requirement: This position requires the use of equipment that is regulated by state law, and as such, applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this role. Applicants under the age of 18 are not eligible for this position due to legal restrictions on operating certain machinery and equipment.
