The Custodian I position is an entry-level role involving a range of cleaning tasks, from light to heavy, either independently or as part of a team. Under close supervision, employees will receive detailed instructions for routine custodial duties. In this role, it is essential to adhere to safety protocols and utilize the appropriate equipment and supplies to fulfill job responsibilities. Prompt reporting of fire, sanitary, and safety hazards, as well as the need for repairs, to the immediate supervisor is required.

General custodial duties form a significant part of the role, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and restocking paper and soap supplies in various areas such as bathrooms, offices, entrances, classrooms, and hallways. Routine maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies is also expected, ensuring their functionality and longevity.

The ideal candidate for this position holds a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. Additionally, they should possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google apps, and facilities management software, demonstrating strong computer literacy. They should also have the ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence.
