Job Title: Bakery Technician
Department: Bakery
Reports To: Bakery Manager / Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Bakery Technician is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing bakery products according to store standards. This role ensures high-quality baked goods, maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery area, and assists customers as needed. The Bakery Technician follows recipes, monitors product freshness, and supports daily production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, mix, proof, and bake a variety of breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, and pastries.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, slicers, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Follow proper procedures and recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to reduce waste.
  • Label and package products for display and sale.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
  • Follow daily production schedules and assist in planning based on sales trends.
  • Provide excellent customer service; answer product questions and take special orders when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with bakery team members and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred.
