Job description

We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records in Pierceton, Indiana. This role is well suited for someone with at least one year of experience, or strong internship experience, who is eager to build a strong foundation in a collaborative finance environment. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to core accounting processes while developing practical experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and journal activity.


Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and assist with timely payment of company obligations.

• Record customer payments, track outstanding balances, and help maintain accurate accounts receivable records.

• Prepare journal entries and ensure transactions are entered correctly in the accounting system.

• Reconcile bank activity and investigate discrepancies to keep financial data current and reliable.

• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis to support accurate month-end reporting.

• Assist with maintaining organized financial records and documentation for internal review and audit readiness.

• Support accounting team initiatives, including updates to processes or systems when required by the business.

• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a detail-focused environment.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience preparing accounting entries and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with general account reconciliation practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
