Summary: The Custodial Staff responds to the overall cleaning and sanitization, maintenance, day to day security, and visitor safety of the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. Additional duties include minor repairs, painting & deep cleaning. This is a physically active and team-oriented role requiring walking and standing for long periods of time, bending and lifting, and janitorial duties. Weekends, nights and holiday hours are required. This is an entry-level position.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time on the floor for up to 8 hours and must have good communication skills (i.e., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English). Must be able to see well and able to read fine print. Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to work in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled work area. May also be exposed to extreme weather conditions with constant ambient noise levels. Must be able to work in open area with other employees. Employee must adhere to current company and CDC pandemic related guidelines.
