The Manager of Enterprise Applications is a people-centered technology leader responsible for shaping the vision, culture, and performance of the enterprise applications team. We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Manager to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise software systems, including home grown, off-the-shelf and SAAS based solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, hands-on technical expertise, and a willingness to explore emerging technologies such as AI, and automation tools.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and technical execution to ensure our enterprise applications align with business objectives while driving efficiency and innovation.
What you'll be doing:
STRATEGIC THINKING AND ENTERPRISE SYSTEM LEADERSHIP
  • Develops and executes a vision for enterprise applications in alignment with the overall company strategic plan.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve business performance through system enhancements, automation, and process refinement.
  • Keeps up-to-date enterprise trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to support business growth.
  • Leads System Application projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and post go-live support
  • Manage the maintenance and support of the company's legacy applications while working with functional leaders to modernize our applications for the future.
  • Collaborates with functional leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into system functionality.
  • Manages system integrations across enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure system stability and compliance with relevant regulations and security standards.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, including data security and privacy.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness by staying current with IT trends and best practices.

TEAM LEADERSHIP
Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Leads, recruits, retains, and mentors talent within the Development team.
  • Creates a collaborative and accountable culture focused on delivering results and business value.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to business users.

What we are seeking:
  • BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience with IBMi and RPG Programming.
  • Experience supporting analytics reporting. Business Intelligence (BI) platforms are a plus.
  • Experience with EDI, Order Management, Inventory Management, WMS, and MES systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in finance, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to business users.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead change.
  • Trusted advisor who can influence stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
