Director, Enterprise Applications (Marketing)
Position Summary
The Director, Enterprise Applications (Marketing) is responsible for leading the delivery, optimization, and support of enterprise applications that enable global Marketing organization. This role partners closely with Marketing leadership, Marketing Operations, Finance, IT, Data & Analytics, and external vendors to define and execute a technology roadmap that improves marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and business outcomes.
The Director will oversee core marketing platforms, ensuring scalable, integrated, and data-driven solutions that support demand generation, digital marketing, customer journeys, campaign operations, lead management, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
This leader combines deep business process expertise with strong technical acumen and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the enterprise applications roadmap supporting Marketing's business objectives, strategy, and growth priorities.
  • Partner with Marketing executives to understand business needs and translate them into technology capabilities and roadmap investments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing leadership on technology trends, MarTech innovation, AI opportunities, process optimization, and digital transformation.
  • Establish governance models for application investments, prioritization, architecture, and platform lifecycle management.
Marketing Technology & Applications
  • Own core Marketing applications, including Marketo, Salesforce, RingLead, 3rd Party Data Augmentation
  • Drive platform rationalization, adoption, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance marketing effectiveness and operational scalability.
Delivery & Program Leadership
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from technical strategy through implementation and adoption.
  • Manage application delivery teams, product owners, business analysts, architects, and external partners.
  • Establish scalable project and product management practices.
  • Ensure successful delivery of roadmap commitments within scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
Architecture, Integration & Governance
  • Ensure seamless integration across Marketing, CRM, ERP, Data Warehouse, Customer Success, and Digital Experience ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to maintain scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • Establish governance for application security, data privacy, compliance, and operational controls.
  • Drive platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
People Leadership
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of application leaders and professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Develop organizational capabilities in product management, process excellence, and digital transformation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, or Digital Transformation roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • Deep expertise supporting Marketing organizations and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Experience leading implementations and optimization efforts involving platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of marketing operations, lead management, campaign execution, customer journeys, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing enterprise integrations, data architecture, and cross-functional business processes.
  • Proven track record delivering strategic programs and business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled marketing platforms and emerging MarTech trends.
  • Experience with Agile product delivery methodologies.
  • Salesforce, Marketo, or related platform certifications.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.

Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in the United States is $154,000 - $204,000.
Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
