The Director, Enterprise Applications Management is responsible for the strategic leadership, delivery, and continuous improvement of the USO's enterprise applications portfolio. It serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that enterprise applications support USO strategic objectives, enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver measurable value for the USO and the people that we serve.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)
- Partner with USO Business Units to execute on a wide variety of strategic and transformative technology projects and deliver applications and platform upgrades with the intended outcome of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the USO mission.*
- Leads a team of agile delivery resources (comprised of product managers, business analysts, application specialists, and project managers) responsible for managing demand intake, requirements analysis, application roadmaps, solution delivery, and ongoing application support.*
- Analyze, scope, develop plans, and coordinate IT resource allocation, utilizing agile methodologies to execute digital projects and initiatives in support of USOs vision, mission, and strategic goals from project intake through operational go live and continued enhancement. Guide backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, and prioritization activities.*
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation and operational improvement to meet requirements driven by business need.*
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and department stakeholders. Build strong partnerships across functional areas to ensure alignment between business goals and application capabilities to achieve business and mission objectives. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for the initiatives and spending.*
- Define, Implement and audit IT performance metrics to assess operating costs, productivity levels and upgrade requirements for existing enterprise applications. Manage IT operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizational oversight, and vendor management.*
- Balance competing demands across departments while ensuring resource optimization for the enterprise applications managed.*
- Lead, manage and mentor assigned IT staff. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Perform assigned duties in the absence of Vice President, Information Technology.*
- Maintain transparency into portfolio health, project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Promote agile and product management best practices throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the composition of a long-range technology roadmap that will align with the organizations strategic plan outlining phased solutions that enable the achievement of business outcomes for USO Business Units.

Job Specifications
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Practitioner certifications preferred.
- 10+ years progressive work experience in an IT leadership or management role, including 5+ years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
- 5+ years directing application/product management for enterprise services of an organization, preferably an enterprise instance of Salesforce.
- Hands on experience and understanding of data integration, the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Agentforce 360, and online fundraising technologies a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and lead high-performing teams. Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
- Working knowledge of basic business and accounting functions including project management and budgeting.
- Excellent, all-round communicator with proven leadership ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid drivers license.

- The salary range for this position is $144,000-$180,000.
- To support pay transparency, this posting includes the anticipated base salary range for this role. Compensation is determined based on several factors including geographic location, relevant experience, specialized skills, certifications, and overall alignment with the position requirements.
