Are you ready to play a key role in winning major infrastructure projects? As a Proposal Writer within our East Bidding Team, you will craft compelling, high-quality proposals that communicate our vision, strategy, and technical strengths. Your writing skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in developing winning submissions that drive our business growth.

What you will be doing
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in proposal writing or coordination for engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong writing, editing, and quality assurance skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and persuasive messaging.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and familiar with proposal management or content automation tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical information (tunnels, bridges, highways, transit, water infrastructure) and communicate it clearly to varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, managing priorities and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Working knowledge of French; bilingual proficiency (English/French) preferred.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and document control protocols for competitive bidding.Preferred Assets
  • Experience supporting major public-sector pursuits (e.g., Infrastructure Ontario, ADM, Metrolinx, VFPA, MTMD, CDPQ Infra, etc.).
  • Familiarity with alternative delivery models such as design-build, progressive design-build, Alliance, and CMAR is an asset.
  • Certification in APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Experience with AI assisted writing, compliance tracking, or knowledge management tools.
  • Familiarity with layout and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with quality management, safety, and environmental certifications (e.g., ISO, COR, Envision).
  • Experience contributing to interview materials, presentations, or client-facing documents.

  • Develop and write clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal content for major infrastructure and construction pursuits across Canada.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and project managers to translate engineering and construction concepts into concise, client-focused narratives.
  • Integrate established win themes, differentiators, and client priorities into proposal content to ensure alignment with the pursuit strategy.
  • Participate in proposal kick-off and planning sessions.
  • Prepare and edit project references, resumes, management plans, and other sections that demonstrate experience and execution capability.
  • Contribute to maintaining proposal content libraries, ensuring narratives remain accurate, current, and aligned with company standards.
  • Use proposal management tools, content repositories, and AI-assisted systems to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Review RFP and RFQ requirements, ensure full compliance, and contribute to strategic, results-driven responses that strengthen competitive positioning and support higher win rates.
  • Adapt technical material for alternate uses such as white papers, marketing materials, or methodology statements.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams, designers, and document controllers to deliver polished, on-brand submissions on schedule.
  • This role is office-based to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment with proposal schedules and corporate objectives.
