We are hiring Electrical Engineering Lab Technicians to support the hands-on build, test, and debug of satellite avionics hardware. You will work directly in the lab assembling prototype boards, performing rework, operating test equipment, building cable assemblies, and supporting engineers through the full hardware development and qualification cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and rework prototype PCBs including surface-mount, fine-pitch, and through-hole soldering.
  • Build cable and wire-harness assemblies including crimping, routing, strain-relief, and connectorization.
  • Operate electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) for board-level testing.
  • Support board bring-up activities by assisting engineers with lab setups, instrumentation, and measurements.
  • Perform board modifications (cut-and-jump, component replacement, rework) per engineering change orders.
  • Maintain lab equipment calibration schedules and ensure instrumentation is in working order.
  • Follow ESD-safe handling procedures and maintain ESD-controlled workspaces.
  • Create and maintain build documentation and assembly records.
  • Support environmental test preparation and execution (thermal, vibration, shock).
  • Assist with sub-contractor coordination for fabrication and assembly when required.
Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with environmental test equipment and procedures.
  • Experience supporting qualification and acceptance test campaigns.
Tools & Technologies:

$120,000 - $200,000 a year

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. 
 
We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used-so we're looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that's your experience - then we'll be immediately wow-ed.
