Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our product throughout the manufacturing process and release. This role requires proficiency in using standardized techniques and operating procedures to conduct and analyze tests on sensitive samples. As a critical member of the Quality Team, the Lab Technician plays a vital role in promoting Quality and Food Safety Culture.

- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and HACCP requirements.
- Pass all required laboratory training.
- Follow established SOPs accurately and efficiently.
- Record, interpret, and enter test results into specified forms and LIMS software with accuracy.
- Perform all applicable analytical and sensory tests on in-process and finished products in a timely manner.
- Identify and report inconsistencies in data promptly, including escalation when necessary.
- Receive, handle, and store samples according to SOP.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, taking corrective action when needed, and maintain records.
- Handle, organize, and store chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases as outlined in Safety Data Sheets.
- Work independently and collaboratively across all departments.
- Complete verifications in testing, standards, equipment, and instruments for accurate performance.
- Participate in proficiency and collaborative testing.
- Communicate with other departments as necessary via various channels.
- Be willing to assume additional and new responsibilities.
- Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Create and maintain a neat, clean, and professional work area.
- Train colleagues.
- Perform duties consistent with environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Take on QC Specialist and Manager responsibilities when required.
- Maintain samples of tested product to confirm test results when necessary.
- Ensure adequate supplies for testing and notify the manager when reordering is needed.
- Compare test results with standards to ensure products meet specifications.

Work EnvironmentThe position operates on an off-shift schedule, either Swing or 3rd Shift. The Swing Shift includes varied hours from Monday to Friday, while the 3rd Shift covers late-night hours from Monday to Sunday. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
