Job description

An Engineering Assistant job in Indianapolis, IN is available at Belcan. We are seeking a talented Engineering Assistant to join our exciting team with focus on Gas Turbine Engines and Defense Products. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, generating reports, and detailed data entry. Experience within the aerospace and defense industry or other highly regulated industry preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
Candidates will be involved in leading or support of various engineering assistant tasks including:
*Follow processes & guidelines
*Navigate various Access and Excel databases
*Sort, manage and maintain a group email inbox
*Meet deliverable deadlines
*Perform data analysis to determine consistency within data sets
*Generate and review monthly and quarterly reports
*Clear communication within the team and to the customer
*End user account support
*Candidates are expected to help raise the level of performance of the team, through a collaborative team setting, consistent communication, and willingness to help others achieve success
QUALIFICATIONS:
*2+ years experience with detailed data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, database maintenance and management, proofreading and editing
*Required experienced: Microsoft Office Suite, data management
*Preferred experience: Access and data proficiency
*Experience with gathering and organizing data into reports
*Professional communication, both written and verbal
*Some technical understanding preferred but not required
*Must be detail oriented
*Ability to meet deliverable deadlines
*Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results
*Due to the nature of the work, MUST be a US Citizen
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an salary rate of $41,600 to $49,920 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
