We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Administrator who has experience managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects from start to finish. Relevant experience must include waterline, sanitary, and storm sewer installation.ย  Additional experience including technical construction projects, ultimately including asphalt, concrete, water or wastewater treatment facilities, or some combination is expected.
With a variety of specialties, our construction team provides services for transportation, water, wastewater, architecture, and energy infrastructure projects. We provide administration, management, resident inspection or any combination thereof. Our years of diverse experience allow us to guide contractors in constructive ways, expedite decisions in the field, resolve disputes, and promote project savings, and timely completion for the benefit of our clients.

What You'll Do:

As the Construction Administrator, you will perform the following duties:

  • Process Submittals
  • Serve as the Construction Contract Administrator, administering the terms of the contract during construction projects
  • Perform on-site observations/inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, regulations, and industry standards and prepare field reports. Frequent visits to job sites will be required
  • Assist the Director of Construction with Construction Management or Administration responsibilities in the office as required
  • Assist with bid period and construction administration services, including site visits and coordination with the owner and public agency(ies)
  • Act as a liaison between design professionals, contractors and clients
  • Represent firm at PreBid, Bid or Construction meetings as required
  • Review RFIs, submittals / shop drawings and schedules for compliance with contract documents
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, drawings, specifications, and change orders
  • Maintain and issue weekly meeting minutes RFI and Submittal logs throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Verify, review and process monthly pay requests submitted by contractors
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, consultants, and clients to obtain necessary approvals and permits
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience in construction execution
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Familiarity with basic construction processes including the ability to read and interpret project plans, contract specifications, apply mathematical formulas and engineering principals
  • Experience with State and Municipal construction and materials specifications
  • Experience in commercial, public works, or roadway projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team including leadership qualities to motivate and inspire others
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Must be an exceptional communicator both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Engineering Technology
