A highly respected national law firm is seeking an Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its Austin office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising energy industry clients on sophisticated regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters.
Ideal Background• 4–6 years of energy regulatory experience gained at a law firm, regulatory agency, or in-house legal department
• Experience advising clients regarding federal and state energy regulatory matters
• Experience representing energy companies, developers, investors, utilities, or other market participants
• Experience with regulatory proceedings before agencies such as FERC, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), or other state and federal regulatory bodies
• Experience advising clients regarding energy transactions, market rules, compliance matters, and regulatory strategy
• Experience supporting project development, acquisitions, financings, and other energy-related transactions is preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage sophisticated regulatory matters while working directly with clients
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Active Texas bar admission required
