Job description

Amazon Web Services is continuing to pioneer in the public sector and is seeking a Public Sector Enablement Lead to deliver tools, training, coaching, processes, & other enablement programs that equip AWS teams to better serve customers and grow the business. This role encompasses both designing project plans that will accelerate each initiative, while also tactically implementing each program individually and/or in concert with cross-functional team members.
The successful candidate will combine a solid understanding of public sector sales and marketing dynamics, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to synthesize vast information while making it usable amongst a diverse sales audience. This individual will work closely with the Worldwide Field Enablement Team, the industry sales teams, and other cross-functional leads, examining existing business practices while identifying new initiatives that would result in time-savings and increased sales effectiveness

Examples of the projects that will be driven by this individual include developing business enablement resources for specific sales verticals, supporting go-to-market motions, executing onboarding and driving ongoing learning efforts, while supporting programs that ultimately enable account teams to accelerate sales pipelines. Experience with AI technologies in public sector environments and implementing related enablement programs is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in modern sales methodologies, with demonstrated success in driving adoption of customer-centric approaches that build strategic partnerships and deliver measurable business outcomes.

They should excel at aligning technology solutions with customer missions while enhancing overall sales effectiveness.
In this role, builders will be responsible for delivering onboarding and ongoing development training to teams. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for problem solving, coaching, and enthusiasm for technology to drive learning and establish positive customer relationships with new and tenured sales employees. You will also work closely with many stakeholders (Sales Leadership, Business Operations, Lead Development Representatives, Project Managers, Worldwide Field Enablement) to discover and meet the objectives of the organization

This individual must have 7+ years of a combination of relevant experience serving sales and business development organizations and project management experience in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional presentation skills. Experience within organizations supporting the public sector and direct sales experience is highly preferred.
Key job responsibilities
- Create, execute, manage, and support role-based sales and tech learning sessions for new and existing account teams, supporting training needs; incorporate this content into existing programs or deliver as net-new.
- Plan, facilitate, scale, and support existing onboarding, ongoing training, tools training, account planning to improve sales productivity.
- For each initiative, develop a project plan and communication strategy for leadership and executive stakeholders, fully owning end-to-end progress against targeted objectives.
- Develop, scale, and support enablement activities throughout the year, working closely with colleagues to identify gaps, and design and implement projects to meet business requirements.
- Develop and curate cross-functional enablement resources for industry sales and tech teams while leveraging existing resources for implementation of programs.
- Perform detailed needs assessments in collaboration with various stakeholders. Translate business needs into clear project requirements that inform scalable and repeatable initiatives.
- Identify project roadblocks, research and present root-cause analysis, managing resolution and stakeholder communications.
- Implement metrics to measure impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility of programs

Report on the effectiveness of enablement investments through dashboards.
- Maintain scheduled deadlines, detailed training and initiative status reports, and introduce processes to optimize management of projects.
- Support ad hoc special projects as needed.
