Job description

Overview
The Employer Account Representative II will provide extensive business outreach and employer engagement for HireAbility Vermont (HAVT) the Agency of Human Services. The Employer Account Representative II will serve as a liaison between area service agencies and local/regional employers to develop relationships that will lead to employment opportunities for job candidates. The Employer Account Representative II will work with employers to identify career pathways, job openings and to promote the hiring of HAVT candidates.
Typical job duties would include developing relationships with employers, facilitation of the regional HAVT Workforce Partners Team, development of presentations for employers and job candidates, labor market analysis, and maintenance of our Salesforce CRM system to track outreach activities. This position also provides coverage for Employer Account Representative I, support for community events and coordination of statewide outreach efforts.
As of July 12, 2026, the step 1 rate for pay grade 23 will be $28.05 per hour and the step 15 rate will be $43.80 per hour.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed largely in a district office and in the field developing business relationships. Incumbent must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Field work requires private means of transportation.
Evening meetings are predictable.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent AND at least one (1) year of experience in sales and/or business relations which includes selling or promoting products to the business community.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in business or public administration, marketing, public relations, business analytics, , project management, economic development or a related field
Experience providing staffing and/or human resource services in a business setting is highly desirable.
Special Requirements
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
