The Communications Manager primary goal is to support patient growth, brand perception, and organizational alignment through strategic messaging, scalable content creation, and modern communications practices. Responsibilities include the development and management of internal and external communications across channels including social media, blog content, email, public relations, and internal communications. 

This role will partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Digital, and clinical leadership to develop messaging strategies and content that support Axia Women’s Health priorities. The Communications Manager will also help modernize the organization’s approach to content production through the thoughtful implementation of AI-enabled tools and workflows. 

Essential Functions 

External Communications & Content Strategy 

  • Lead strategic thinking regarding messaging and content development across Marketing channels including blog, social media, e-mail, and patient-facing communications  
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars aligned to organizational priorities, seasonal initiatives, and patient acquisition opportunities  
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to identify opportunities for content creation based on patient trends, search behavior, campaign performance, and SEO needs  
  • Oversee the development of blog content, e-mail copy, patient education materials, and social content utilizing AI-enabled content generation tools as appropriate  
  • Manage and monitor organic social media presence across Axia Women’s Health brands and channels  
  • Collaborate with freelance creative resources to develop content assets and creative materials as required  
  • Support website copy updates and messaging enhancements in partnership with Digital Marketing  

              Internal Communications 

              • Manage and execute internal communications initiatives including organizational newsletters, leadership messaging, town hall support, talking points, and other employee-facing communications  
              • Help streamline and modernize internal communications practices to improve organizational effectiveness and reduce unnecessary communication burden 
              • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure communication alignment across key initiatives and announcements  

                  Public Relations & Brand Support 

                  • Support reactive public relations needs in partnership with leadership and external agencies/resources as required  
                  • Support crisis communications needs in partnership with leadership, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and external partners as required  
                  • Assist in the development and coordination of messaging, talking points, and communication plans related to sensitive or time-sensitive organizational matters  
                  • Assist with the development of messaging and communications materials related to organizational initiatives, provider announcements, new services, and strategic priorities  
                  • Monitor brand voice and messaging consistency across communications channels  

                          AI & Process Innovation 

                          • Support the implementation and optimization of AI-enabled content generation tools and workflows across Marketing  
                          • Identify opportunities to improve content production efficiency while maintaining quality and brand standards 
                          • Assist in the development of scalable communications templates, processes, and playbooks  

                              Supervisory Responsibilities 

                              • May oversee interns, freelancers, agencies, or other external resources supporting content and communications initiatives  

                               Skills 

                              • Strong written and verbal communication skills

                              • Strong understanding of social media content and channel management  
                              • Familiarity with AI-enabled content generation platforms and workflows

                                                Experience & Education 

                                                • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field  
                                                • Minimum of 5 years relevant job experience  
                                                • Experience supporting content strategy, communications, or social media management required  
                                                • Healthcare or multi-location consumer services experience preferred
