In this role, you'll own the strategic direction of multiple client accounts, creating high-performing email and SMS marketing campaigns that increase customer engagement, retention, and revenue.
You'll work closely with clients and internal creative teams to develop campaign calendars, optimize automated flows, analyze performance data, and continuously improve retention strategies. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining creativity, strategy, analytics, and client communication in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the retention and lifecycle marketing strategy for a portfolio of eCommerce client accounts.
  • Develop and manage monthly email and SMS campaign calendars aligned with promotional, seasonal, educational, and evergreen initiatives.
  • Create strategic messaging plans across both email and SMS channels.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client accounts through additional lifecycle strategies, SMS marketing, segmentation, and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers, email builders, account managers, and operations teams to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on schedule.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, retention marketing, or CRM marketing.
  • Proven experience managing email and SMS marketing for eCommerce or DTC brands.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write persuasive, conversion-focused marketing content.
  • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategy.
  • Experience building promotional calendars and campaign strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Comfortable presenting campaign performance and strategy directly to clients.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and cross-functional marketing teams.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with specialized SMS platforms like Attentive or Postscript.
  • Familiarity with paid media channels (Meta, Google, TikTok) and how they integrate with retention.
  • Experience managing retention for 7-to-9-figure eCommerce brands.
  • Prior experience in subscription-based or consumable product categories.
