Patient Service Rep - Pharmacy Tech

Location The Colony, TX | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $22 per hour

• Schedule: 8 hour shifts between 8:00am - 6:30pm CST | Weekends required

• Start Date: September 14, 2026


ROLE IMPACT

The Pharmacy Benefits Support Specialist ensures patients and pharmacy partners receive accurate, timely support related to prescription benefits and claim inquiries. This role drives first-contact resolution, maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivers a professional, patient-centered experience across phone, email, and chat channels. Success is defined by accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication in a high-volume healthcare support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and pharmacy partners via phone, email, and chat

• Research and resolve prescription claim issues, benefit questions, and coverage inquiries

• Support prior authorization and benefits-related requests with accurate documentation in internal systems

• Clearly explain pharmacy benefit information, coverage details, and next steps to patients

• Escalate complex or sensitive cases to appropriate internal teams for resolution

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician (Pharm Tech) license required

*Employee will need to obtain PTBC or ExCPT certification within 6 months of hire (if not already certified)*

• High School Diploma or GED required


Clinical Skill Set

• Pharmacy benefits support and insurance verification

• Prescription claim review and resolution

• Prior authorization processing

• Healthcare documentation and case management systems

• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
