Job description

Overview
Lutron has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at our Florida Engineering office in Boynton Beach, FL.
Electronics Technicians work in a hands-on environment as members of cross-functional engineering teams - supporting the development of new products. They work closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and can be involved in the product development process from initial concept, through the development, testing, manufacturing, and support phases.
As part of their career development, Electronics technicians gain exposure to the broad range of technologies employed in our products. Some of these technologies include power electronics, analog and digital electronics, wired and wireless communication, software test automation, Ethernet communication, and embedded micro-controllers. A mentoring program, tuition reimbursement, along with continued learning through "Lutron University" enhances the professional and intellectual advancement of our technicians.
Responsibilities
  • Extensive design verification testing of analog and digital circuits
  • Software testing including user interfaces and communication protocols
  • Hardware prototyping and reworking
  • Design and assemble test fixtures
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware (down to component level)
  • Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing / production
  • Directly supporting end customers

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or equivalent required
  • Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of electricity, basic wiring, and soldering preferred
  • No experience required but 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience working with electronics including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), function generators, and other related equipment preferred
