Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Electronics Tech to join our Edgewood Maintenance Team.
Shift/Hours: Full Time 40 Hours, First Shift
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00AM-5:30PM

To support the patient care environment by providing emergency, corrective and scheduled services on the electronic equipment and electronic systems of the facility to assure equipment availability to perform its intended function reliably.

  • Interact positively and courteously with staff, patients and visitors while providing maintenance activities to instill confidence in our guests that problems are addressed competently and promptly.
  • Assure personal safety and the safety of others by safe use of tools and materials.
  • Installs, maintains, inspects, and repairs the hospital fire alarm system including all field devices, supervisory circuitry and system computers so as to assure continuous reliable operation of this system.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs electronic components of the building automation system including direct digital controls, computer components, sensors, transducers and other related hardware items in order to assure effective control of the electronic systems within the facility.
  • Provide training for users of electronic systems to assure that users will have a functional understanding of how to operate the systems.
  • Install, maintain and repair video and audio systems used as part of the Medical Center entertainment television system, overhead paging system, closed circuit television system, telephone system and other similar systems in the Medical Center to assure continuous and reliable operation.
  • Install, maintain and repair all components of the nurse call communication system to assure reliable and continuous operation.
  • Participate in the maintenance and repair of other buildings systems and equipment by assisting other technicians such as plumbers, electricians, electronic technicians, mechanics and others in their activities.
  • Complete work tickets thoroughly and according to departmental procedure to insure accurate records of equipment history, project documentation, cost data and other maintenance activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical and Electronics or equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of. Continuing Education in Maintenance Engineering Technology or High School Diploma and Accredited courses in Electronics and Control Systems.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that will allow coverage on the SEHC insurance policy. Training in Microsoft Access
  • Significant knowledge of computer operations and database management

Specialized Knowledge:

Closed circuit television, nurse call, television, radio, electronic security, surveillance systems, and fire alarm systems.

Kind and Length of Experience:

5 years applicable experience working on electronic systems.
