Job description

Position Summary

Design Ready Controls is a leader in control panel building and searching for our next key player to join our production team. As an Electrical Tester, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. As the Electrical Tester, you are responsible for performing electrical functionality tests on control panels, programming of control boards and VFD drives/loading of PLC programs, and more.
This is a 2nd shift position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and perform electrical functionality testing on control panels per documentation
  • Perform programming of control boards and VFD drives/loading of PLC programs
  • Rework and/or repair of faulty components / circuits
  • Perform low and high voltage wiring as needed
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on inspection and test results
  • Verification and confirm software
  • Complete quality control documentation and problem resolution logs
  • Read, understand, and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams
  • Begin to develop electrical troubleshooting aptitude
  • Identify and relay errors to co-workers in a professional manner
  • Ensure all changes are documented properly and turned in for corrections
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
  • Identify and assist in process improvement measures and assist in 5S Lean activities
  • Assist in establishing and implementing best work practices
Education | Experience
  • 2 years electrical technical training or in process of Associates/equivalent (preferred)
  • 2+ years electrical testing experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in an 5S, ISO environment (preferred)
Abilities | Skills
  • Great math, computer (Microsoft Office) and communication skills
  • High motivation level, ability to multi-task and work well independently as well as with others
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, safety awareness and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics / diagrams required
  • Visual acuity (wire color and small print on wire) with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Compensation amp; Benefits:
  • Competitive Hourly Pay :$22.50-$25.00 DOE
