Electrical Test Machine Operator:

Shifts Available:

  • C Shift (Thursday - Saturday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Job Summary: In this role, you will perform various activities related to the electrical testing of printed circuit boards. These activities will include preparing to perform and performing the required electrical and hipot testing operations while following the testing procedures as defined by work instructions/training. This starts with reviewing the production router to insure all previous
operations have been properly completed/signed off, review the router for electrical test requirements and any special notes, then proceed setting up the electrical testing machines in accordance with those requirements. Once e-test process is properly set up and running, continually monitor the process to insure proper e-test function. In this role, you will also be required to perform hipot testing as required. It is the responsibility of the electrical test operator to keep โ€œgoodโ€ parts and โ€œbadโ€ parts segregated/clearly identified. A โ€œgoodโ€ part is defined as a part that PASSED the required electrical testing. The โ€œBadโ€ parts are defined as those parts that FAILED the required electrical testing. You will be required to adhere to all safety procedures and related safety protocols while performing all of your responsibilities and duties. You will also be expected to perform various other activities/duties as required by your Supervisor or Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operates Electrical and Hipot Test equipment
  • Monitor electrical test backlog and follow departmental job priorities/scheduling
  • Perform light operator level machine maintenance as required and basic trouble shooting when problems arise
  • Meet Daily Production and Quality Requirements
  • Attend and participate as needed in daily Gemba communications
  • Set-up and operation of electrical and hipot test equipment
  • May require some use of voltmeters, bench tools, etc as needed to perform basic trouble shooting when problems arise
  • Follow written/oral work instructions from quality engineers, process engineers, product engineers, and supervisor
  • Inspect work to ensure that it meets all job and quality requirements
  • Collect and report electrical and hipot test data as required by your supervisor and engineers
  • Comply with and support all department and company policies and procedures including but not limited to Safety and Security
  • Train department personnel on the proper use of electrical and hipot test equipment and assist with their training.
  • Create HAFโ€™s and perform root cause analysis as needed
  • Read, interpret and follow detailed test procedures and any related drawings
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to detail problems, issues to co-workers and managers
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events.
  • Strong attention to details.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prefer prior experience working with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer skills such as D365, Excel, Word, Outlook/e-mail, etc is a plus
  • Ability to operate a computer is preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills required.
  • Able to look at ways to improve and promote quality throughout the plant.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Must be attentive to detail.
  • Able to work alone or in a team setting.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. A minimum of 3-6 months sustained employment in a manufacturing environment.
