About Us:

Were a growing commercial electrical subcontractor known for delivering high-quality work across a variety of projectsfrom large-scale commercial projects to complex tenant improvements. Our team is made up of driven professionals who take pride in what they do, and were looking for a Controller to help take our financial operations to the next level.

Position Summary:

As Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the companys operations. This includes managing day-to-day accounting functions, job costing, cash flow, budgeting, and reporting. Youll work closely with leadership to provide financial insight that supports smart, strategic decision-making and helps drive continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain accurate job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and forecast financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
  • Oversee audits, tax preparation, and financial compliance activities
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and systems
  • Collaborate with project managers to analyze job performance and profitability
  • Provide strategic financial input to support business decisions
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and percent-complete accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a small accounting team
