Reports To: Department Managers
Hours: 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.; Monday-Friday*
*Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department during the election cycle.
What do we want you to bring to the table?
You should have good interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication. You must demonstrate command of Microsoft Office. You must have daily access to reliable transportation to carry out some of the duties of this position; otherwise, the work is performed in a warehouse environment. Please bring yourself, this is not a remote position.
What do you need to have?
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 - 6 months of related experience serving in an administrative support position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. One year data entry experience preferred. Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance coverage required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
What you will be doing?
A typical day preparing for an election might start by you assisting with equipment preparation, security tagging, identifying units, equipment transportation, and security. You will assure that all voting equipment, transfer equipment, and all election related materials are maintained and properly stored. You will identify potential polling locations. You will perform a visual inspection to ensure ADA compliance, convenience for the voters, accessibility, and parking. You will build and maintain relationships with building owners and officials in assigned zones. Maintain accurate voting location reports, and maps within the designated area. You will maintain accurate records and ensure that all paperwork is completed in an accurate manner. You will oversee an Election Day zone including delegating responsibilities to rovers as directed. Your responsibilities will including being able to identify, resolve equipment malfunctions, conduct inventory, and re-stocks supplies. You will complete Secretary of State Checklists. You will be performing the necessary data entry tasks, like updating polling locations changes, cancellations, information about routes, rovers and supplies.

The principal role of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is to perform the fundamental and vital functions of administering our elections. In carrying out its mission, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will seek to achieve the following objectives:
