Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

This role is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) operations across the enterprise. The Senior Data & Systems Analyst will partner with EHS, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to collect, analyze, and visualize EHS related data that drives compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement. This role serves as the primary technical resource for the EHS department-owning dashboards, developing the in-house EHS management system, administering the EHS digital toolset, and ensuring data integrity across all safety data streams.

ABOUT THE JOB

Beyond analytics, the Senior Data & Systems Analyst will contribute to the development and rollout of corporate EHS initiatives by building scalable tools and automating manual processes. The ideal candidate brings strong
programming skills, experience with AI-assisted development tools, and a proactive approach to building systems that enable the EHS team to operate at the speed the business demands.

This role reports to the EHS Manager of Enterprise Integration and works closely with site-level EHS teams, engineering stakeholders, and the sustainability function.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Serve as the data and systems administrator for the EHS operations team, including supporting routine communications on safety data trends
  • Design, build, and maintain leading indicator dashboards and metric systems used by EHS to visualize data and safety trends for Anduril leadership
  • Develop and administer the in-house EHS management system, scoping features, writing code, integrating APIs, and iterating based on user feedback
  • Serve as system owner and subject matter expert for the EHS digital toolset including system configuration, permissions, workflows, and data structures
  • Train and support end users on new dashboards, tools, and system workflows-including onboarding documentation, troubleshooting, and workflow enhancements
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines (Python, SQL) to collect, clean, and transform EHS data from internal and external sources into analysis-ready datasets
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub, etc.) to accelerate system builds, automate repetitive analysis, and prototype new capabilities
  • Create data visualizations and executive-ready reports that translate raw safety data into actionable narratives for leadership
  • Oversee data quality, including periodic audits and cleanup of records
  • Identify patterns, root causes, and improvement opportunities in incident, audit, risk, training, and compliance data
  • Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with automated, scalable solutions
  • Support environmental sustainability data collection, reporting, and dashboard development including energy consumption, waste diversion, emissions tracking, and compliance with federal sustainability requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in a data-focused role (Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, BI Developer, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, SQL, or JavaScript) with demonstrated ability to build tools, not just use them
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and data visualizations (Foundry, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding and productivity tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and ability to integrate them into daily workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal tools, web apps, or system integrations (APIs, databases, workflow automation)
  • Strong data wrangling skills-comfortable cleaning, transforming, and validating messy real-world datasets
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with EHS information management systems (e.g.,VelocityEHS, Intelex, Gensuite)
  • Experience with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, or data engineering workflows
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of personal technical builds
  • Collaborative individual who is most comfortable working in a team environment on a shared task
  • High energy individual who craves the opportunity to build a system vs just manage one
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
