Job description

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, ERP & Manufacturing Systems, the incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, and support of customizations and extensions within good2grows ERP platform. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, ERP & Manufacturing Systems and works closely with internal stakeholders and an external ERP development partner. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong emphasis on AL development, extension design, and system integration, while also supporting backlog management and development coordination activities.

Candidates must reside in the FL (Auburndale/Orlando/Tampa) or Atlanta, GA area to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Leads the development and maintenance of AL-based solutions and system integrations to support business operations.

  • Design, develop, and maintain AL extensions, customizations,
  • Build & enhance reports, workflows, and APIs.
  • Develop and support integrations with external systems (Salesforce, DOMO, Cleo EDI).

Owns ERP backlog management and oversees coordination with external partners to drive effective execution.

  • Own and manage the ERP development backlog;
  • Coordinate with external development partner on requirements, deliverables, and code quality;
  • Participate in monthly ERP change request board meetings.

Responsible for system troubleshooting, support, and release management

  • Diagnose and resolve Business Central issues, debug AL code,
  • Support code deployments, version control, and release processes
  • Provide technical support to end users.

Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 25 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV, with strong AL development expertise
  • Hands-on experience building extensions, custom objects, pages, codeunits, and reports (RDLC/Word)
  • Solid understanding of Business Central architecture, data model, and extension lifecycle
  • Experience with APIs, web services, and system integrations
  • Proficiency with source control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Experience with ERP processes (manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution preferred)
  • Experience working with external development partners and managing deliverables
  • Familiarity with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP processes (manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution preferred)
  • Experience working with external development partners and managing deliverables
  • Familiarity with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate), and EDI tools (e.g., Cleo)
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data structures, and modern programming languages (e.g., .NET, C#, JavaScript)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications preferred
