Your job duties include troubleshooting file transfer protocol (FTP) networking systems, monitoring ongoing projects for effectiveness and efficiency, and ensuring adherence to industry security standards. A career as an EDI developer requires some qualifications and post-secondary education, usually at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Further voluntary certifications and experience in back-end server environments may set you ahead of other candidates.

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication with business partners are important soft skills. These abilities ensure accurate data exchange, smooth integration between systems, and successful collaboration with stakeholders for efficient business operations.
