Job Type: Part Time 2 - Per Diem
Job Shift: Rotate
Holiday Rotation:
Department: ER Admitting
Reporting to the Admitting Supervisor, the Registration Representative must be able to work independently as well as with resources of supervision and management. This position is responsible for completing the pre-admitting, registration of outpatients and admissions of inpatients into the facility. The position has the responsibility to provide excellent service to patients, their families, physician office staff, hospital personnel and related outside agencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School diploma preferred.
Minimum Experience/Skills: 3 months to 1 year in an acute care admitting environment, urgent care or clinic, medical group, or physician's office. Medical terminology. Excellent communication and organizational skills
License/Certificates/Credentials: DBHC staff only - Valid CA drivers license and automotive insurance.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting
  • Lift/position up to 25 lbs. Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force.
  • Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
  • Manual dexterity and mobility
  • Touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity
  • Adequate vocal pitch and volume

Vision Requirements: Sufficient perceptive acuity (vision and hearing) to perform all the related duties of the position
Working Conditions:
  • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
  • Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
