Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VOIP / Unified Communications Technician to support DISA voice services and network operations at Ford Island, HI. This role provides 24/7 operational support for enterprise voice networks including the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), ensuring secure, reliable communications for DoD and national security customers. The ideal candidate has experience with voice systems, SIP/TDM technologies, and network operations in high-availability environments. Location: Ford Island - Honolulu, Hawaii (Onsite) Responsibilities: * Provide operational support for enterprise VOIP and unified communications systems, including DRSN services. * Monitor and respond to network alarms using platform-specific network management tools. * Configure, analyze, and troubleshoot circuits across SIP and TDM environments. * Perform configuration updates on route plans, route lists, device profiles, calling search spaces, and route partitions. * Use ServiceNow and other tools to create, track, and resolve incident tickets throughout their lifecycle. * Provide real-time situational awareness to leadership and stakeholders during outages or degraded service conditions. * Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain maximum network availability and minimize mission impact. * Verify full restoration of services following incident resolution. * Support global operations by providing visibility into network health and performance. * Develop and recommend improvements to UC/DRSN operational processes. * Document network incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant experience supporting voice or network operations. * Strong understanding of VOIP technologies , IP networking, and basic voice infrastructure. * Experience with SIP signaling, call routing, and media flow troubleshooting. * Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment , including nights and weekends. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Certifications & Requirements: * DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification ( Security+ CE or equivalent) required. Clearance Requirement: * Active Top Secret clearance required with TS/SCI eligibility . Preferred: * Experience in tech control facilities or cyber transport environments. * Experience with circuit provisioning and network operations workflows. * Familiarity with Juniper or Cisco networking technologies. * Experience with packet capture analysis and network troubleshooting tools. * Knowledge of DRSN, VoSIP, EVoIP/ECVoIP, DSN Core, or VTC systems. Compensation: * Pay range: $68,000 - $83,000 (Based on years of relevant experience) Benefits: * Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, federal holidays, and sick leave.
