Job description

Job Title:  Infrastructure Technician

Location:  – Pascagoula, MS 39581 - Onsite

Mode : Contract

Key Responsibilities:

· Adheres to OSHA safety standards in the Industrial workplace.

· Create, maintain, and ensure all safety documentation is approved by customer prior to project implementations (Work permits, Job Safety Analysis, etc.).

· Responsible for adhering to project deadlines including defined SLAs.

· Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, i.e., cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), racks, and related communications infrastructure equipment.

· Perform installation and service (including terminating, testing and repair) of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling (coax, HDMI), RF cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems.

· Perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems to increase functionality and usability.

· Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems, and perform repairs as necessary.

· Installation and upgrade of additional equipment associated with Information and Communications technology systems on an ad hoc basis.

Skills Required

· Technical understanding of BICSI standards of various network cabling installations.

· Administrative skills with attention to detail.

· Basic understanding of networking concepts.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Must be able to possess a TWIC.

Physical Activities

· Ability to cover ground by walking and stand for most part of the working hours.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Must possess valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle.

· Ability to work in areas that require PPE
